She is a bit of a monster, isn't she? But that's kind of the point. She was raised as a Familiar, an elite member of the breeding cult and with an extra measure of superiority above and beyond her upbringing (Familiars already think they're top dog) so it stands to reason that she would be that much harder on someone who has, as she perceives it, already betrayed her.

But this whole AU is meant to be dark and somewhat depressing, with some moments of levity and brightness from time to time. Alec is mostly to blame for his world going to hell and everyone being killed or herded off like animals and slaves. And man or not, our bodies will betray us if stimulated correctly, regardless of our personal feelings.

BDSM isn't my forté either. In fact, it's so very far form my norm that it took me a LONG time to write this piece satisfactorily. 

If it's any consolation (as far as Milaiina goes) if I ever finish writing the rest of the stories I have/had planned for this AU, there is redeption of sorts for Milaiina and Alec, and while his guilt will accompany him all his life, he will also be allowed to have a measure of happiness and relative peace. 

Sorry, I got carried away there! I really do like this AU because it's refreshingly different from so many of the DA stories out there. I just wish I had more drive to complete/continue it.
